Joe Baolin Zhou

Special Advisor, Xinfu China

Joe is Xinfu’s Special Advisor in China, and co-author of “Dream Company, Dream Leadership, Dream Life” – our book featuring interviews with 100 of China’s leading private entrepreneurs and MNC and SOE leaders. He is currently the CEO of Bond Education, one of the largest private education groups in China focusing on tutoring middle and primary school students. He is also an active social philanthropist in supporting handicapped children’s education and serves on Zhou Chunya’s Five Color Foundation Board.

Joe was previously instrumental in founding and setting up the Harvard Business Center. As the Director of the China Market, he was responsible for expanding Harvard Business School’s footprint in China while establishing close collaboration with Chinese government organizations, large global and Chinese corporations and industry associations.

Joe also founded the MIT Greater China Development Center to provide guidance to MIT Sloan in expanding its China initiatives. He has worked for China’s Central Government under the former Ministry of Machinery and Electronics Industries, founded his own hi-tech start-up and served on the advisory board of the Boston-based 128 Chinese Union of Technological Enterprises.

Joe holds an MBA from MIT Sloan, an MPA from John Heinz School of Public Policy and Management at Carnegie Mellon University, an MA of International Studies from Ohio University, a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Shanghai University of Science and Technology a Dual Bachelor degree of Management & Engineering from Jilin University of Technology.
